CASE STUDIES / NIOD × AUTUMN COMMUNICATIONS

Full capacity. Eight sessions. One branded guest journey.

NIOD’s cold plunge activation at The Grove, featuring Steve Aoki, needed custom registration and the flexibility to manage a live, session-based guest list.

The challenge

Autumn Communications needed a registration experience that matched NIOD’s visual identity and supported eight cold plunge sessions. The team also needed to manage demand on-site, where waitlisted guests and walk-up interest could change throughout the event.

What comethru delivered

The experience included custom registration at niodpoweredplunge.com, session selection, and Apple and Google Wallet passes. First name, last name, email, phone number, and selected session were captured as part of the guest journey.

Flexibility at the door

The team could manage waitlists live and add walk-up guests to available spots. The activation reached full capacity, recorded 87 guest check-ins, and had 267 people on the waitlist. The waitlist represented additional demand; it was tracked separately from attendance.

What to take into your next activation

When an experience has limited sessions, start with capacity and arrival operations. Define who can release spots, when a waitlisted guest can move into a session, and how staff will confirm the right guest at the right time. Make the registration design and the on-site process part of the same brief.
